Description:

Vetafarm Nectar Pellets are a species-specific, nutritionally complete diet developed to support the unique needs of lories and lorikeets. Made with a low-sugar base and natural psyllium husk, these pellets promote digestive health while reducing messy droppings—a major benefit for indoor pet birds.

Designed to replicate the nutritional profile of nectar-based wild diets, this formula supplies all essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals for long-term health, breeding and feather condition. The added apple flavour encourages feeding, even in picky birds.

Extrusion cooked for digestibility and food safety, Nectar Pellets are ideal for pet lorikeets in sensitive environments as well as breeding birds in aviaries.

Feeding guide:

Feed as 80 percent of your bird’s total daily intake. The remaining 20 percent can include:

• 15% fresh fruit and vegetables
• 5% treats such as nectar mixes or behavioural enrichment foods

Lorikeets typically consume 10–15% of their bodyweight in dry food per day.

Example:

• Rainbow Lorikeet (approx. 120g): requires at least 10g of Nectar Pellets per day

Ensure fresh, clean water is available at all times. Birds fed on Nectar Pellets will produce droppings of more uniform colour and texture compared to nectar-based diets.
