Description:

Vetafarm Neocare is a scientifically balanced hand-rearing formula developed by avian veterinarians to meet the unique needs of all baby birds. Suitable from day one through to weaning, Neocare provides unmatched growth rates and health outcomes.

This premium powdered formula includes all essential nutrients for strong bone, organ and feather development, plus added probiotics and enzymes to support gut function, digestion and immunity. Its high energy content and smooth consistency make it ideal for young chicks with developing systems.

Neocare is suitable for parrots, cockatoos, finches, canaries, doves, pigeons and any other hand-reared baby birds.

Feeding preparation:

• Always mix fresh before each feed
• Use a fork (not a spoon) for thorough mixing
• Do not refrigerate or reuse leftover formula
• Do not microwave—check temperature before feeding (38–41°C)

Neonate feeding:

Begin with a runny mix: 2 small level scoops of Neocare to 1 large scoop + 1 small scoop of boiling water. Mix well with a fork until smooth. Gradually thicken over the next 48 hours.

Regular feeding:

1. 1 large level scoop Neocare + 1 large scoop boiling water
2. Mix well with a fork for 30 seconds
3. Add 3 small scoops of cool water, mix for 2 minutes until smooth

Feeding schedule:

Feed between 5–6am and 10–11pm. Allow the crop to fully empty once per 24-hour period. Feeding frequency and volume will vary by age and species. Always weigh chicks daily.
