Description:

Vetafarm South American Mix is a species-specific pellet diet developed for parrots such as conures, quakers, macaws and amazons. These birds have unique nutritional needs due to their origin and natural high-fat diets. This formula provides a balanced, complete daily food that helps support healthy feather growth, reproduction and mental stimulation.

Enriched with fresh Australian-grown almonds and peanuts, the mix delivers essential fats, protein and antioxidants to help maintain optimal condition year-round. It contains no artificial colours or flavours, and is extrusion cooked for digestibility, food safety and improved acceptance.

Suitable for pet and breeding birds, South American Mix can be offered as a sole diet or paired with fresh fruits and vegetables for variety and behavioural enrichment.

Feeding guide:

Feed as 80 percent of your bird’s total diet. The remaining 20 percent can include:

• 15% fresh fruits and vegetables
• 5% hand-selected nuts such as almonds, walnuts and macadamias

Daily pellet recommendations:

• Small conure (100g): 8g pellets per day
• Medium Amazon (400g): 30g pellets per day
• Large Macaw (800g): 60g pellets per day
