Description:

Vetafarm Maintenance Pellets are a complete, year-round diet developed to support the long-term health of companion parrots. Originally formulated by avian veterinarians, this balanced blend of high-quality grains, vitamins and amino acids fulfils your bird’s core nutritional needs without artificial colours, added sugar or excess fat.

These extruded pellets provide optimum protein, energy and calcium levels to maintain healthy weight, strong feathers and organ function. By eliminating the waste and imbalance of seed diets, Maintenance Pellets help reduce health issues related to nutritional deficiencies—such as hepatic lipidosis, cardiac problems and iron storage disease.

Suitable for everyday feeding in parrots from cockatiels through to macaws, Maintenance Pellets can also be used during off-season periods when breeding is not active.

Feeding guide:

Feed as 80 percent of your bird’s total diet. The remaining 20 percent should consist of:

• 15% fresh fruits and vegetables
• 5% treats like seeds or nuts for variety and enrichment

Daily pellet recommendations:

• 90g Cockatiel: 9g pellets per day
• 150g Sun Conure: 15g pellets per day
• 300g Galah: 30g pellets per day

Actual requirements may vary by species, activity level and age. Ensure clean water is available at all times. Birds may increase water intake when switching to pellets.
