Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Seed Cube Credits

Store credit is a reward you earn after placing an order.

It can be used on a future purchase at seedcube.com.au.

You can earn store credit in two ways:

Spend $90 or more on a single order and earn $5 in store credit

Leave a product review and earn up to $6 — $2 for the review, $2 for a photo, $2 for a video. Credit is issued for any genuine review, whatever rating you give

Store credit is issued after your order is fulfilled. You'll receive an email once it's available, showing the amount and the date it expires.

Store credit expires 90 days after it's issued. The expiry date is shown in your reward email and in your account. If you have credit with different expiry dates, the one expiring soonest is used first.

Log in using the same email address you used for the original purchase, add items to your cart, and select Apply store credit at checkout.

Your order total needs to be $40 or more. Below that, the store credit option won't appear at checkout. Store credit isn't applied automatically, so you need to select it each time.

Yes. Store credit is a payment method, not a discount code, so it comes off your total after any discounts or sale pricing.

One thing to watch: the $40 minimum applies to your total after discounts. If a discount brings your total under $40, the store credit option won't show at checkout.

If an order is returned or refunded, any related store credit will be adjusted or removed. For partial refunds, the reward is recalculated against the updated order total.

No. Store credit can’t be used to purchase gift cards.

No. Store credit has no cash value and can’t be transferred.

Three common reasons. You're not logged in, or you're logged in with a different email to the one used for the original order. Your order total is under $40. Or you're using Shop Pay with a Shop account email that doesn't match your original order.

Store Credit Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 20 August 2026

Eligibility

Seed Cube store credit is available to eligible customers under our current store credit offers. Store credit is earned on purchases that meet advertised spend thresholds, and on product reviews. Eligibility is determined by Seed Cube at its discretion.

Earning Store Credit

Store credit may be earned in the following ways:

  • Spend $90 or more on a single order and earn $5 in store credit
  • By leaving a product review, including optional photo or video. Store credit is issued for any genuine review from a verified customer, whatever rating you give

Store credit is calculated on the eligible merchandise value only and excludes shipping, taxes, duties, gift cards, and any non-eligible services.

Spend thresholds and reward amounts are set in the currency of your order and may vary by region.

Issuance of Store Credit

Store credit is issued to your customer account once your qualifying order has been fulfilled. You will receive an email confirming the amount and the date it expires.

Seed Cube reserves the right to delay, adjust, or cancel store credit if an order is cancelled, refunded, returned, partially returned, or flagged for suspected misuse or fraud.

Expiry

Store credit expires 90 days after the date it is issued.

The expiry date applying to each reward is shown in the email confirming it, and in your customer account.

If you hold store credit with more than one expiry date, the credit expiring soonest is used first.

Unused store credit remaining after its expiry date will expire and is no longer available for redemption.

Using Store Credit

Store credit is a payment method at checkout, not a discount code. To use it:

  • Log in to your account using the same email address you used for the original purchase
  • Your order total must be $40 or more. Below this, the store credit option will not appear at checkout
  • At checkout, select Apply store credit

Store credit is not applied automatically. You need to select it at checkout each time.

The $40 minimum applies to your order total after any discounts or sale pricing. If a discount brings your total below $40, the store credit option will not be available on that order.

Using Shop Pay? Make sure your Shop account email matches the email from your original order, or your store credit will not appear at checkout.

Store credit must be applied at checkout at the time of purchase. Seed Cube is generally unable to manually apply, backdate or retrospectively honour store credit that was not applied during checkout, including where a customer forgets to apply an available balance. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Exclusions

Store credit is applied after any discounts or sale pricing, so it can be used on sale items and alongside discount codes, provided your order total is $40 or more.

Store credit cannot be used:

  • To purchase gift cards
  • On orders with a total under $40
  • On shipping, taxes, or third-party fees

Store credit cannot be applied to previous purchases.

Returns and Refunds

If an order is returned, refunded, partially refunded, or cancelled, any related store credit will be adjusted or removed. For partial refunds, the reward is recalculated against the updated order total.

If store credit has already been used and the original qualifying order is later refunded, Seed Cube may deduct the value of the used store credit from the refund amount, where permitted by law.

These terms apply to promotional and reward store credit only. They do not apply to any refund, remedy, replacement or reimbursement you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law, or to gift cards purchased from us.

Non-Transferable

Store credit has no cash value and cannot be transferred, shared, sold, or redeemed for cash. Store credit is issued for personal use only.

Store credit is not a gift card. Under the Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010, gift cards supplied as part of a customer loyalty or rewards program are exempt from the three-year minimum redemption period that otherwise applies to gift cards.

Misuse and Abuse

Seed Cube reserves the right to suspend, revoke, or adjust store credit and related accounts if we reasonably believe the program is being misused, manipulated, or exploited. This includes, but is not limited to, multiple accounts, repeated refunds, or other abnormal purchasing behaviour.

Program Changes

Seed Cube may modify, suspend, or cancel the store credit program or these terms. Changes take effect from the date they are published on this page.

Any change will apply to store credit issued after the change takes effect. We will not reduce or remove store credit already issued to you, except where that credit is reversed because the qualifying order was refunded, returned or cancelled, or where we give you reasonable notice and a reasonable opportunity to use your balance before the change applies.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Governing Terms

Participation in the store credit program is subject to Seed Cube's general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency, these Store Credit Terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
