Everyday Use

Safe on acrylic, stainless, and cage surfaces

The waffle weave lifts droppings, dust, and dried food without scratching any Seed Cube or cage surface. Use it with water or your preferred bird-safe cleaner for a streak-free finish.

Fast Sanitation

Microwave the damp cloth for 30 seconds

A damp cloth in the microwave neutralises common avian bacteria fast. Use this after wiping high-contact areas like perches or feeding stations if you need to continue using the cloth before washing. The cloth must be wet and monitored while heating.

* After heating allow the cloth to cool to avoid any steam burns

Regular Cleaning

Wash to keep the fibres performing

A cold or warm machine wash clears debris and resets absorbency. Wash the cloth with other microfibre only. Lint from cotton towels clogs the waffle weave. Mild liquid detergent works best.

The first wash may bleed some colour, so we suggest cold washing individually for the first time

Protect the Microfibre

Skip bleach and softeners

Bleach weakens fibres. Fabric softener coats them and destroys absorbency. Avoid both to maintain the cloth’s cleaning power for hundreds of washes.

Drying Options

Air dry for the longest life

Air drying protects the microfibre structure and prevents heat damage. Hang indoors or outdoors and let the fibres open naturally for best long-term performance.

Heat-Safe Drying

Use low heat if you prefer the dryer

Low heat protects the polyamide fibres. High heat collapses the weave and reduces absorption. Low heat keeps the cloth soft and effective.

Questions? We Have Answers

Learn more about your waffle cloth

Wash the cloth in a cold or warm machine cycle with microfibre only. Use a mild liquid detergent and avoid powder detergents. Do not wash it with cotton towels or linty fabrics because lint clogs the waffle weave and reduces performance.

No. Bleach weakens the microfibre fibres and fabric softener coats them and kills absorbency. Use gentle liquid detergent only so the cloth keeps lifting droppings, dust, and food without smearing.

Yes, as long as the cloth is damp and you monitor it. Wet the cloth, wring it lightly so it is still clearly damp, then microwave for 30 seconds. Never microwave a dry cloth and always let it cool before handling to avoid steam burns.

You can, but use low heat only. High heat can collapse the waffle weave and reduce absorbency. For the longest life, air dry on a rack or line, and use the dryer on low only when you need a faster turnaround.

Wash whenever it looks dirty, smells, or after cleaning heavy mess around perches, trays, or toys. Many bird owners rinse after daily use, then machine wash every few days to keep absorbency and hygiene high.

Microfibre waffle cloths grab lint very easily. If you wash them with cotton towels or other lint-heavy fabrics, the fibres clog and the cloth stops gliding and absorbing properly.

A separate microfibre-only wash keeps the weave open and effective.

With regular cold or warm washing, no bleach, no fabric softener, and low-heat or air drying, the cloth can last for hundreds of wash cycles.

If you notice reduced absorbency, stiffness, or melted spots from high heat, it is time to replace it to keep your Seed Cube and cage surfaces properly clean.
