My bird seems to waste a lot of seed. Is that normal?
Yes. Birds naturally pick through seed for preferred varieties. This is normal foraging behaviour and encourages mental stimulation.

How do I know when to replace the seed?
Replace daily if possible, or at least every 2-3 days. Remove uneaten seed and husks to prevent mould and bacterial growth.
