What's the difference between Nutriblend Large and Nutriblend Small?
Nutriblend Large has bigger pellets designed for large birds like macaws, cockatoos and galahs (300g+). Nutriblend Small is medium-sized for medium birds like ringnecks and Alexandrines (100g-250g). Choose based on your bird's beak size and species.
Is Nutriblend Large suitable for African greys?
Yes. Nutriblend Large works well for African greys. The large pellet size suits their powerful beaks and encourages natural foraging behaviour.
Do I need supplements with Nutriblend Large?
No. When fed as 80% of your bird's diet alongside fresh fruits and vegetables, Nutriblend Large provides complete balanced nutrition. No additional supplements are necessary unless your vet recommends them for a specific condition.
Can my large parrot eat Nutriblend Small instead?
Nutriblend Small is suitable for all parrot species but the smaller pellet size may not provide the enrichment and natural foraging challenge that large parrots need. Large is the better choice for species over 300g as it encourages engagement and reduces boredom.
Why are these pellets multicoloured and fruit-flavoured?
The colours and fruity taste (apple, blueberry, raspberry) appeal to seed eaters and encourage acceptance of pellets. These flavours are natural and safe, and the multicoloured mix signals variety to your bird.
