What's the difference between Nutriblend Small and Nutriblend Mini?
Nutriblend Mini is smaller pellets designed for budgies, cockatiels and small parrots. Nutriblend Small is medium-sized pellets for ringnecks, Alexandrines, sun conures and medium birds. Small is the larger of the two; choose based on your bird's beak size.
Why are these pellets multicoloured and fruit-flavoured?
The colour and fruity taste (apple, blueberry, raspberry) encourage acceptance by birds transitioning from seed mixes. This makes the switch to pellets easier and reduces picky eating. The flavours are natural and safe.
Do I need to add supplements if feeding Nutriblend Small?
No. When fed as 80% of your bird's diet alongside fresh fruits and vegetables, Nutriblend Small provides complete balanced nutrition. No additional supplements are necessary unless your vet recommends them for a specific health issue.
Can I use Nutriblend Small for a large parrot like a macaw?
Nutriblend Small is suitable for all parrot species but designed for small to medium birds. Larger parrots (African greys, macaws, cockatoos) may prefer Nutriblend Large with its larger pellet size. Both are nutritionally complete; pellet size matters for comfort.
Is Nutriblend Small good for seed eaters?
Yes. Nutriblend Small is specifically formulated to appeal to seed eaters with fruit flavours and multicoloured pellets. The extrusion-cooked texture promotes acceptance and reduces waste compared to mixed seed diets.
